Do you know what a Museum is?

Museums are not just about exhibitions. The museum is an institution open to the public, which acquires, preserves, researches, disseminates and exhibits, for the purposes of study, education and leisure, material and immaterial testimonies of people and their environment.

A lot of research is done with museum collections and in these places there are, normally but not always, exhibitions that are aimed at the population for scientific dissemination and understanding of the universe in which we live.

The Instituto Arte&Ciência's Virtual Museum of Natural History seeks to make photos of objects available in a virtual but real collection, accompanied by basic information so you can learn more about the world and understand processes such as Evolution.
